Ukrainian Triathlon Cross-Duathlon Championship: Results

On October 26, Odesa hosted the Ukrainian Cross-Duathlon Championship — a competition among veterans of physical culture and sport. The athletes tackled a demanding course: 3 km cross-country run, 10 km mountain bike ride, and 1.5 km final run.

From the gun, Viktor Lazaniuk (Triton) set the pace, completing the first run in under 11 minutes. Rostyslav Mishchenko (SportGV) followed a minute later, with Maksym Skachko (Arcadia), Kostiantyn Korzhykov (Velociraptor), Danylo Denysenko (Tresha), and Pavlo Tiahlo (Arcadia) close behind.
The chasers gained ground during the bike leg, but Lazaniuk’s technical skill and endurance helped him maintain a comfortable lead heading into the final run. His sharp pace over the last 1.5 km sealed a commanding victory.

Mishchenko delivered a strong second place finish, losing only 9 seconds on the run and crossing the line 38 seconds behind the winner. The battle for bronze came down to the wire between Denysenko, Tiahlo, and Skachko — Danylo Denysenko edged ahead to claim third, while Tiahlo and Skachko rounded out the top five overall.

Among women, Margarita Fedorova (Seaside Running Club) completed the course in 58:27, earning top honors.

The relay race brought a fierce team battle, with Arcadia Club (Maksym Kiriakov & Viacheslav Kopachev) taking victory. Kiriakov clocked the fastest run of the day, while Kopachev dominated the bike leg. Sportiki Odesa (Hennadii Matiushyn & Pavlo Hulenko) finished second, and Odesa DH Team (Volodymyr Hubachov & Olha Bohdanovych) completed the podium in third.
