Kamyanske Cross Duathlon — Results
On October 5, the Samyshyna Ravine once again became the arena for endurance and determination as Kamyanske hosted its Open City Cross Duathlon Championship. More than forty athletes aged 8 to 49 from Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol, and Kamyanske took on the challenge, tackling running and cycling stages across three courses with elevation gains reaching up to 368 meters.
On the Red Course, Vladyslav Popovka (Kryvyi Rih) claimed victory in the men’s 18–29 category, setting the fastest overall time on the course. In the 30–39 group, Pavlo Kashuba (Kamyanske, Maryanoff) earned the win. Among men 40–49, Dmytro Martyniuk (Kryvyi Rih) topped the field.
The Yellow Course featured youth athletes from Zaporizhzhia’s TriSport team. Vladyslav Ohurtsov took the win among boys 14–15, with Nazar Konoshenko and Artem Tkachuk finishing close behind. Representing the girls, Sofia Tereshchenko (Kamyanske, Youth Sports School No. 5) delivered a strong performance. In the boys 12–13 category, Damir Kyselov (Kamyanske, Youth Sports School No. 5) took first place ahead of Illia Patevskyi (Zaporizhzhia, TriSport). In the women’s 18–29 division, Maria Silivestrova (Kamyanske, College of Physical Culture) represented her city, while Tymofii Yartsev (Dnipro, RunO’k) competed in the men’s 40–49 class.
On the Green Course, designed for the youngest participants, Maria Mishchenko (Zhovti Vody) and Yevhen Ohurtsov took gold among 10–11-year-olds. In the younger age groups, Kateryna Samarets represented the 9–10 girls’ category, and Tymur Demchenko raced among boys 8–9.
The organizers praised the professionalism of the officiating team led by Yurii Makohonov, with valuable assistance from students of the Kamyanske College of Physical Culture. A special note of appreciation went to Anatolii Haletskyi (Odesa, national category), representative of the Ukrainian Triathlon League and Triathlon Federation of Ukraine, for his expert support.
