Ukrainian Middle-Distance Triathlon Championships: Results

On August 30, the village of Pidhirtsi in the Kyiv region hosted the national middle-distance championship as part of the Subaru Triatman Series.

In the elite field, there was no stopping Nataliia Matsupko (Triatman) and Oleksandr Khadyko (CapitalTri), who both stormed to victory. The podium was rounded out by Anna Botyukh (AeroStar–TeamOne) and Daryna Horb (Poltava) among the women, while Ihor Polyvanyi (Team404) and Anton Lytvynenko (CapitalTri) claimed silver and bronze for the men. Remarkably, all of them achieved the prestigious Ukrainian Master of Sport standard. Fourth-placed Oleksandr Osypchuk (AeroStar–TeamOne) also hit the mark, finishing just off the podium, with Andrii Cherevko (CapitalTri) and Olha Nemchenko (TriLab) completing the top five.

Matsupko dominated the women’s race, pulling clear on the bike and never looking back. For the men, the cycling stage proved decisive in shaping the top contenders, with the half marathon delivering the final verdict. The men’s title was decided by just 21 seconds, with Khadyko sealing victory in 4:01:08, while Matsupko stopped the clock at 4:49:09. The top ten also featured Vladyslav Mykytenko (Poltava) and a strong contingent from Cherkasy: Maksym Nesvat, Denys Snesar, Maksym Usanin, and Heorhii Kosov.
Among amateurs, Anastasiia Derevliova (KIT) and Maksym Babych (Chameleon) emerged as champions, Derevliova crossing the line in 5:04:09, with Babych delivering a blazing 4:22:09. The podiums featured Radmyla Kalinina, Daria Lytovchenko, Oleksandr Lyatsevych, and Vitalii Volynets, while both elite and age-group fields produced thrilling depth across the board.
The relay events added an extra layer of drama. Sis Ukraine Multisport (Serhii Kurochkin and Andrii Churanov) took the mixed and men’s relay win, while Ferrum Team shone in the women’s category. In the TryTri races, Yana Vasianovych and Yurii Klym claimed the spotlight.
Side events showcased endurance across disciplines: in Aquabike, Nataliia Kovalevska (Sigma Software–Unicorn) triumphed with 3:29:20, while Dmytro Kreiner (KIT) flew through in 3:01:58. The Aquaman swims over 1900 m, 3800 m, and 5700 m produced champions like Daria Barkova, Mariia Buzovska, Valeriia Burenko, Serhii Pryptskyi, Ivan Perepelytsia, and Mykhailo Perepelytsia, all stamping authority on their respective distances.
Among juniors in the TAS JR. LEAGUE Aquathlon, Rozaliia Nebyvailova (Kyiv, Brigantina) led the way with 4:20, while Tymofii Bondar (Kyiv, CapitalTri) captured the boys’ title in 4:29. The younger categories highlighted future stars like Danylo Kreiner (Kharkiv, KIT) and Ivan Vyhraneko (Kyiv) with standout wins.
