Ukraine Triathlon Cross Duathlon Championship Age Group

The cross duathlon in Odesa brought together 16 men and 5 women from Odesa, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, Kamianske, Zhovti Vody, Rivne, and Kyiv. Yana Vasyanovych showcased her dominance by establishing a four-and-a-half-minute lead over her closest competitors after the first running segment. The athlete from KIT Triathlon Team was unmatched, setting the fastest times in both the cycling and final running stages. The AeroStar-TeamOne athletes—Anna Botyukh, Yuliia Parkhomchuk, and Arina Drozdova—battled for the remaining podium spots during the bike stage, with Yuliia holding a 20-second advantage. Arina fell behind and finished fourth, while Anna overtook Yuliia, securing a 40-second lead after the cycling leg. Botyukh extended her advantage during the final run to claim second place, while Parkhomchuk took the bronze.
In the men’s race, Dmytro Stetsiuk and Viktor Lazanyuk stretched the field during the run and were the first to transition onto their bikes. Trailing them by one minute and 15 seconds were Dmytro Melnykov, Rostyslav Mishchenko, Serhii Antsupov, and Roman Vykhovanets. The cycling stage proved decisive, as Stetsiuk and Melnykov reached the final transition together. Stetsiuk, the fastest on the opening run, held his form to cross the finish line first, securing the Ukrainian cross duathlon championship title for Rivne’s Triathlon Academy. Melnykov, representing VeloGO Kyiv Cycling Team, claimed silver.
Rostyslav Mishchenko from Zhovti Vody entered the transition in third and managed to fend off Viktor Lazanyuk, finishing in third place. Lazanyuk made up over a minute on the final 2.6-kilometer run but could not close the gap. The Triton club representative from Odesa finished fourth, followed by Kyiv’s Serhii Antsupov in fifth and Vinnytsia’s Roman Vykhovanets in sixth, both representing AeroStar-TeamOne. Results
