TRUKHANIV TRIATHLON CUP Results
Thirteen athletes in the sprint distance, nine in the super sprint distance, and nine in the swimming events took to the start line for the “Burevisnyk” Cross Triathlon Cup at the TRUKHANIV TRIATHLON CUP, held in Kyiv on July 14th at Trukhaniv Island.
Kyiv’s own Oleh Molchenko and Kharkiv’s Myroslava Danilova emerged victorious in the sprint distance cross triathlon (0.75/18/4 km). Alongside Kyiv’s Yevhen Misyura, Oleh dominated the cycling leg. Kyiv’s Artem Pekar trailed the leaders by nearly a minute. Oleh broke away from Yevhen, arriving first in the transition zone. With a 3-minute and 20-second lead, he maintained his position to secure the victory.
The chasers were caught by Kyiv’s Yevhen Hodun, who began the running leg in second place, just 20 seconds ahead of Artem Pekar. Hodun clocked the fastest running time and crossed the finish line second. The third-place battle between Artem Pekar and Yevhen Misyura on the running leg saw Yevhen clinch the bronze in the “Burevisnyk” Cross Triathlon Cup sprint distance.
In the super sprint distance (0.25/8/2 km), Kyiv’s Ivan Nikolaievskyi and Nata Kovalchuk dominated in the water. Before the running leg, leader Ivan held a four-minute advantage and claimed victory. Nata Kovalchuk, alongside Kyiv’s Anastasia Dovbnya, started the running leg together. The women battled it out, with Nata Kovalchuk taking the win, Anastasia finishing 20 seconds behind her. Tetiana Astapova from Demydiv secured third place among women, while Kyiv’s Anatolii Chernov and Serhii Moskalets took the men’s podium positions.
The winners in the 1500-meter swim were Kyiv’s Artem Liba and Anna Kuptsova. The leaders’ water pace was 1 minute 31 seconds and 2 minutes flat, respectively. Kyiv’s Bodnar Borys and Dmytro Kurysh from Muzychi took the remaining men’s podium spots, while Kyiv’s Marianna Mokhnach and Anastasia Tymofieieva joined the women’s podium with the winner.
