A year ago, people heard about aquabike only from the news of the World Triathlon, but today this multisport discipline has been mastered in Ukraine as well. Aquabike is gaining popularity on the world stage, providing an opportunity for athletes who are strong in swimming and cycling, but cannot yet compete in the running stage. And while the triathlon community is following the development of aquabike, Triton Sports Events from Odesa is already holding its third competition in our country. And at the same time, the modern history of this species is being written, where Oleksiy Nikolenko from Odesa becomes the absolute leader.

  Triathlon (aquabike) is developing in Ukraine. Three events completed in 2023. In February, Triton AquaBike is holding a Deathmatch Race, which will have a separate format. First, the qualifying start at the distance of 200 m swimming and 5 km cycling race with the division of athletes into divisions according to the qualifying time. In each division, there is an elimination competition at a distance of 100 m swimming and 3 km cycling. The round is given 10 minutes, taking into account rest. The round is considered the last when there are three participants left.

  You already know that a full-scale and brutal war is taking place in Ukraine today. Many Ukrainian athletes have now joined in defending their country’s independence and integrity. The Ukrainian Triathlon League asks you to help preserve triathlon in Ukraine as an Olympic sport among all categories of athletes, provide opportunities for training and performances for athletes to represent Ukraine in international competitions.
