The Sea Returns to Ukrainian Triathlon!

On September 14th, the Southern Triathlon League and the Triathlon Federation of Odesa Region hosted the Odesa Open Triathlon (Aquathlon), featuring swimming and running events.

In the standard distance (1 km swim / 5 km run), Mykyta Nahornyi from Seabass dominated, finishing in 33:42. Despite tough waves, he secured the top spot in the 35-39 age group. The silver went to Volodymyr Kreposniak from Aerostar-TeamOne (40-44), while bronze was claimed by Vitalii Savich, who edged out Oleksii Platonov by just nine seconds.

Among women, three competitors reached the finish line, with Iryna Bilenka (KIT Triathlon Team) winning in the 40-49 age group with a commanding five-minute lead. Yuliia Shapovalova (16-29) took second, followed by Oksana Kirkina (40-49).

Age group highlights included Yurii Ostashyn leading the 60-69 group, and Pavlo Lobach topping the 50-59 category. The youngest standout was Bohdan Demianenko (16-29).

In the sprint distance (0.5 km swim / 2.5 km run), Maksym Kiriakov and Viktoriia Lukash (Seabass) took top honors.

The competition also featured open-water swimming and running events. A children’s aquathlon saw victories for Adel Shmanova and Yaroslav Ivanov (14-15 age group), continuing their stellar seasons. Results
