On June 15, the village of Bilyaivka in Lozova district, Kharkiv region, hosted the 22nd annual Slobozhansky Cross Duathlon — a grassroots multisport tradition that has become a staple of the eastern Ukrainian endurance calendar.
On the main XC-Duathlon course (6 km run – 20 km bike – 2 km run), Oleksandr Lyshenko and Nadiia Hladka, both representing Zlatopil, claimed emphatic victories with times of 1:14:12 and 1:34:13, respectively. The men’s podium was completed by Andrii Matiushenko and Oleh Suhovdz (also from Zlatopil). In the mixed relay, Yurii Rozumnyi (Birkiv) and Nataliia Rozumna (Zlatopil) teamed up to clock a finish of 1:31:39.
In the Kids Duathlon (2–10–2 km) for athletes aged 12–15, it was once again Zlatopil athletes who swept the podium. Rodion Bohomolov and Kateryna Kosenko took gold. Among the standout performers earning podium finishes were Arina Tolkachova, Vilina Riuzhanova, Tymofii Salanevych, and Oleksandr Yasynskyi.
For the youngest athletes (under 11 years old), Milana Sulima and Yurii Palval stood atop the podium. Among the girls, Viktoriia Bilichenko and Ustyniia Salanevych — both of Zlatopil — took home silver and bronze. In the boys’ race, Stasik Shevchenko and Mark Oriekhov grabbed podium spots.
