Tetiana Korol and Olga Mostova represented Ukraine at the World Championships!

This year, the World Triathlon Championships took place in Torremolinos, Spain. As usual, besides elite athletes, champions among age groups were also crowned.

Tetiana Korol finished 27th among women in the 30-34 age group in the sprint distance, while Olga Mostova completed the standard distance with a commendable 15th place finish in the 35-39 age group.

Olga began her race with the 22nd fastest swim time, trailing the leader by 6 minutes and 40 seconds. However, she showed her strength on the bike leg, clocking the third-fastest time among the top 22 participants. Olga finished with an overall time of 2 hours, 33 minutes, and 22 seconds.

Tetiana took on the sprint distance, completing the swim in 15 minutes and 54 seconds, putting her in 18th place at the time. She continued with a strong 38-minute bike split and a final 24 minutes and 44 seconds for the run, finishing with an overall time of 1 hour, 24 minutes, and 49 seconds.

In addition to the sprint and standard distances, age group competitors participated in a mixed relay across expanded age categories: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and even one team in the 80+ category. Champions were also crowned in the aquabike discipline. The oldest competitors were Jim Farr from the USA, born in 1934 (90+ age group), and Judith McKay from England, born in 1937 (85-89 age group).
